Local Lib Dems Adopt Candidate

At a well-attended meeting held in Wistaston local Liberal Democrats have adopted David Crowther as their candidate for the election on 8th June.

David Crowther was born in Newton Le Willows and lived there until moving recently to Warrington. He joined the Liberal Party over 40 years ago and believes their vision of a fair, free and open society is what the UK needs.

David was a Borough Councillor for twelve years including two years as Chair of a Planning Committee. He also served as Chair of a Special School for twenty years, and on the board of a Housing Association and the Mersey Waste Disposal Authority.

His particular interests are education, housing and the environment.

“David is a super candidate for Crewe and Nantwich,” commented local Party Chairman Gwyn Griffiths.

“Housing, planning, education and the environment are all key issues in our area and David’s knowledge and interest in these subjects make him an ideal choice. Members were unanimous in their support for him and we are all looking forward to campaigning on these and other issues over the next five weeks.”
