Crewe and Nantwich Liberal Democrats have again selected Roy Wood as their prospective parliamentary candidate for 2015.
Mr Wood told the selection meeting that he was looking forward to the opportunity to show what a positive difference having Liberal Democrats in government has made. He commented "We have shown clearly that coalition government can work, by stopping the Conservatives lurching to the right and introducing many Lib Dem policies such as the £700 cut in income tax and the targeting of the pupil premium at our most disadvantaged young people. Labour hypocrisy in opposing the essential savings in government spending while promising to save even more should they be elected will become increasingly clear. There is only one party that can demonstrate its commitment to fairness and its economic competence and that is the Liberal Democrats."
